    The Persian New Year, Nowruz, coincides with the arrival of spring and the changing of the seasons. It is also a wonderful opportunity for us, humans to change our behaviour and state of mind. It is an opportunity to change our spirituality. Iranians have a philosophical way of looking at things. The house-cleaning exercise before the arrival of Nowruz is not just limited to cleaning your own house. Iranians believe it is just as essential and just as important to clean your heart and your mind.

    In our previous programme we looked at the history of Nowruz. In this program we shall take a look at the rituals, customs and traditions of Nowruz and the festivities associated with Nowruz. We hereby congratulate all those who celebrate Nowruz. On the Iranian calendar, the New Year is 1399 and we wish you a very happy, and wonderful Iranian new year.
