Iraq views Iran-US talks as an important step

Pars Today- The Iraqi prime minister, speaking on Friday, highlighted Baghdad’s approach to playing an active role in regional developments, strengthening bilateral relations with both Iran and the US, and described the indirect talks between Tehran and Washington as important.

In a televised interview, Mohammad Shia' al-Sudani outlined his government’s domestic and regional policies, stating that “Iraq will no longer be merely a host for regional meetings, but a provider of solutions for the crises in West Asia.” Referring to the positive relationship between Tehran and Baghdad, he described the talks between Iran and the US as a “crucial opportunity,” emphasizing that their success would have a positive impact on the entire region, and Iraq in particular./ IRNA
