Araghchi: Trump’s statements in Saudi Arabia were deceptive

Pars Today - Iran's foreign minister said Wednesday in a press conference about US president's remarks about Iran in Saudi Arabia last evening: "Donald Trump's statements were unfortunately a deceptive viewpoint."

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said: “What Donald Trump stated regarding the desire of the region’s countries to enjoy a path of progress and prosperity is, in fact, the same path that the Iranian people chose with their Revolution, and they have pursued it to have an independent, democratic, free, prosperous, and advanced country.” The Iranian foreign minister added: “It is the United States that has hindered the progress of the Iranian nation through sanctions and with its pressures over the past forty-plus years.” /IRIB news agency
