Iranian diplomat: Unilateral sanctions violate human rights
Pars Today - The Deputy Minister for International Legal affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran said on Tuesday: "Unilateral sanctions violate human rights, and access to justice for victims is its missing link".
On the sidelines of the International Conference on Unilateral Sanctions in Tehran, Kazem Gharibabadi met with Alena Dohan, Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights and in relation to the effects of sanctions, emphasizing that unilateral sanctions are contrary to the United Nations' Charter and international law, and stated: "Governments imposing unilateral sanctions are responsible for violating the human rights of the nations under sanctions through the imposition of these illegal measures and must be held accountable for their actions."/ IRNA
