Tehran & Tashkent sign MoU to expand transit cooperation

Pars Today – A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance transportation and transit cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed in the presence of Iran’s minister of roads and urban development.

The agreement was signed by Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh, and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport and Communications, Ilham Mahkamov.

According to the MoU, the grounds will be laid for private Uzbek investment in building a dedicated terminal and logistics center in the hinterlands of Shahid Rajaee Port. (IRIB news agency)
