Iran files complaint against IAEA’s unfounded claims
Pars Today – The Islamic Republic of Iran issued a legal note on Thursday rejecting the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) accusations, stating that the Agency has overstepped its mandate and is acting against Iran based on fabricated evidence.
According to the legal note, which was distributed among diplomats ahead of a key meeting in Vienna, Iran attributed the rising tensions with the UN nuclear watchdog to baseless accusations and unsubstantiated evidence presented by IAEA inspectors.
In its first detailed analysis of the IAEA's May 31 inspection report, Iran stated that IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi distorted facts about Iran’s nuclear activities using incorrect and repetitive information. (ISNA)
