Baghaei responds to Trump: No meeting request was made by Iran

Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman on Tuesday denied claims made by the US president, saying no request for a meeting had been made by the Iranian side.

Esmaeil Baghaei dismissed Donald Trump’s assertions regarding a supposed Iranian request for negotiations, stating: “No meeting request has been submitted to the American side by the Islamic Republic of Iran.” On Monday night, Trump had claimed during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that "a date for negotiations with Iran has been set, and they want to talk to us." He also repeated accusations regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
