Gharibabadi: No IAEA inspectors currently in Iran
Pars Today – Iran’s deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs has said that there are currently no International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) inspectors in Iran.
Kazem Gharibabadi stated Sunday night that Tehran has informed the IAEA that based on a resolution passed by Iran’s Parliament, any final decision regarding cooperation with the Agency lies with the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic.
He emphasized that according to the parliamentary resolution, Iran’s cooperation with the Agency has been suspended, and should certain conditions be met, Iran will act accordingly.
Responding to remarks by the IAEA director general about access to Iranian facilities, Gharibabadi said, “Most inspection reports focused on sites that were attacked by the United States—so under such conditions, what would inspectors be looking for?”
