Iranian Parliamentary delegation arrives in Iraq

Pars Today – The first vice-chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has arrived in Iraq at the head of a parliamentary delegation.

Mahmoud Nabavian, leading the delegation, arrived at Baghdad International Airport on Saturday evening for talks with Iraqi officials and to enhance bilateral parliamentary cooperation.

Upon arrival, the delegation was welcomed by Karim Aliawi Mohammadawi, Chairman of the Iraqi Parliament’s Security and Defense Committee, as well as Iran’s chargé d'affaires and Embassy staff in Baghdad.

The Iranian delegation also made a stop at the memorial site of the martyrs Lt. General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis on the road from the airport to Baghdad, offering prayers in honor of the fallen commanders.
