Gharibabadi: IAEA technical team to visit Iran

Pars Today – Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, announced on Wednesday that Tehran has agreed to host a technical delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the next two to three weeks. 

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of UN meetings in New York, Gharibabadi stressed the need for fresh dialogue with the IAEA under current conditions, stating: "In the new circumstances, the manner of fulfilling obligations requires renewed discussions with the IAEA, and this is important." 

Regarding Iran’s nuclear policies, he said: "On uranium enrichment, Iran will proceed based on its own needs. We must have the capability to do whatever is necessary." Gharibabadi added that the IAEA team will not inspect Iran’s nuclear facilities.
