Baghaei: We are closely monitoring developments in the Caucasus

Pars Today – Regarding recent developments in the South Caucasus, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "We are monitoring the situation with open eyes, neither oversimplifying nor downplaying any issue."

Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, elaborated on Iran’s stance toward recent developments in the South Caucasus during an interview. Emphasizing the region’s importance for Iran and neighboring countries, he said:

"The South Caucasus holds political, economic, and geopolitical significance for Iran and regional states, particularly Russia. We maintain strong relations with South Caucasus countries and believe that stability and security in this region are of paramount importance to us. / IRIB News Agency
