Pars Today – The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee of Armenia signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in the fields of urban development and housing construction during the meeting between the President of Iran and the Prime Minister of Armenia.

This memorandum of cooperation was signed on Tuesday in Yerevan between Farzaneh Sadegh, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Yegiazard Vardanyan, the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee of Armenia, in the fields of urban development and housing construction. Prior to the signing of this memorandum, bilateral meetings were held between the Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. Topics discussed included improving transportation and communication infrastructure between the two countries, increasing the capacity of the Nordooz Bridge and constructing a second bridge, resolving issues related to truck tolls, establishing a strategic connection from the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea via the Iranian railway to Jolfa and its continuation to Nakhchivan and Yerevan, and utilizing port and logistical capacities. / IRIB News Agency
