Pars Today – The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations, in reaction to the anti-Iranian move by the three European parties to the JCPOA (the United Kingdom, France, and Germany) and their submission of a “Snapback Activation Declaration,” stated that members of the UN Security Council are now facing a decisive moment.
Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN, stated on Thursday (local time):
“Members of the Security Council are at a decisive juncture: either support the Russian and Chinese draft resolution for a technical extension and diplomacy, or trigger serious consequences by activating the snapback mechanism.”
He further stressed that the reaction of the European trio (E3) to this draft will ultimately demonstrate whether they are truly committed to diplomacy or are choosing to escalate the crisis. /IRIB News Agency
