Iranian, Omani FMs hold talks
Pars Today – The Iranian Foreign Minister, leading a diplomatic delegation to attend the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, met with the Omani Foreign Minister for discussions.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi during his visit to New York for the 80th United Nations General Assembly.
The two diplomats discussed bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as regional and international developments, including the situation in occupied Palestine. They emphasized the need for global action to stop the genocide of Palestinians and to hold Israeli officials accountable in competent international courts.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi also exchanged views on Iran’s nuclear program. Araghchi underscored the importance of European responsibility and recognition of Iran’s responsible approach to the nuclear issue. He further stressed the necessity for Western parties to commit to lifting unjust sanctions and warned of the potential consequences of any miscalculations regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
