Araghchi warns of consequences of European Troika’s actions against Iran

Pars Today – The Iranian Foreign Minister, during a meeting with his Finnish counterpart, outlined Iran’s responsible approach to the nuclear issue and warned of the consequences of any instrumental use of the UN Security Council by the three European countries to exert pressure on Tehran.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who traveled to New York to attend the UN General Assembly’s annual session, met on Tuesday with Finland’s Foreign Minister, Elina Valtonen. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral Iran-Finland relations and international developments, particularly issues related to peace and global security.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, referring to the two years since the genocide in Gaza and the ongoing severe violations of the UN Charter and human rights due to Israeli aggression and crimes in the region, stressed the legal and moral responsibility of all countries to halt the genocide and address the continuous threats posed by Israel to international peace and stability.

Araghchi also outlined Iran’s responsible approach to the nuclear issue and warned of the consequences of any instrumental use of the UN Security Council by the three European countries to pressure Iran. Prior to this, the Iranian Foreign Minister had met with his counterparts from Austria, Poland, Sweden, Sudan, Oman, Egypt, as well as the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
