Four dead, 20 injured in South Carolina shooting

Pars Today – A shooting at a nightclub on St. Helena Island, a popular resort area in the U.S. state of South Carolina, left four people dead and 20 others injured.

According to local officials, the incident occurred on Sunday, and when state law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, a large crowd was still gathered in the area.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on X that many victims and witnesses ran toward nearby shops and properties seeking shelter from the gunfire.

Among the injured, four people remain in critical condition at local hospitals. Authorities said the cause of the incident is still under investigation, and no arrests or reports of the suspect’s death have been made so far. / IRNA
