'Change in Iranian people's pessimism about Britain needs London's good will'

Head of Iran's Strategic Foreign Relations Council Seyed Kamal Kharrazi referred to Britain's record of hostilities against Tehran, and said only Britain's goodwill measures can change the Iranian people's pessimism about London.

"Given the negative view that the Iranian people have towards Britain, positive political measures are needed to change it," Kharrazi said in a meeting with Prime Minister's Trade Envoy for Iran Lord Lamont in Tehran on Tuesday.

He underlined that removing the financial obstacles on the way of the implementation of the nuclear deal between Tehran and the world powers can accelerate economic cooperation between Iran and Britain.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed different bilateral and regional issues, and welcomed reciprocal visits by the two countries' businesspersons and economic activists.
