Iran lauds Syria’s role in fight against int’l terrorism

Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kan'ani praised Syria's efforts in countering international terrorism.

In a statement to SANA's correspondent in Tehran, Kan'ani highlighted Syria's strategic position, capabilities and political wisdom, calling it one of the most important Arab countries.

Kan'ani also highlighted the sacrifices made by the Syrian people in the face of Western conspiracies and the spread of terrorist organizations, which resulted in the loss of many lives.

He commended their efforts to preserve their nationality and defend their country's sovereignty and unity.

The spokesman also expressed confidence in Syria's ability to rebuild and regain its strategic role in the region after achieving a cohesive national unity between the government and the people, resulting in the restoration of diplomatic relations with Arab countries.
