Heads of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission met in Astara
Iranian and Azerbaijani heads of the Joint Economic Commission met in the Iranian border city of Astara on July 17.
According to MRUD NEWS, Iran Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, and Shahin Mustafayev, First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan met in Astara, as the heads of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission.
They negotiate over promoting cooperation, border facilities, joint rail and road projects and the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) as part of developing mutual relations.
The meeting was held after Iranian delegation welcomed Azerbaijan delegation on the Astrachai Bridge.
The bilateral meeting kicked off in Astara with the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Governors of Iran's Gilan and Ardebil provinces.
