Hamas ineradicable, Iran reminds Israel
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made it clear for the Zionist regime and the US that they won’t be able to wipe out Hamas, because the resistance group has its roots in the People of Palestine.
According to Tasnim news agency, the top Iranian diplomat on Tuesday attended a high-level meeting on "the human rights situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, the universal declaration of human rights, and international humanitarian rights”, held at the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva.
Participants in the meeting shared their perspectives on the ongoing Palestinian crisis and deliberated on potential strategies to halt the brutal attacks by the Zionist regime against Gaza and the West Bank.
Amir-Abdollahian, in his address, expounded on Iran's stance on the Palestinian crisis, shedding light on the distressing humanitarian conditions prevailing in Gaza and the West Bank due to relentless and criminal assaults by the Zionist regime.
The Iranian foreign minister unequivocally categorized the actions of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza over the last two months as evident instances of war crimes and genocide.
Emphasizing the need for immediate action, Amir-Abdollahian urged effective measures to halt the Israeli regime's attacks on Gaza promptly, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
He also called on the international community, the United Nations, and the UN Security Council to intervene and put an end to the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli regime in the West Bank, stressing the critical need for the provision of humanitarian aid.
Highlighting the Israeli regime's inhumane treatment of captive Palestinian civilians in Gaza, Amir-Abdollahian drew a parallel between this behavior and the extremist nature resembling that of Daesh.
He underscored that the failure to promptly address the brutal attacks by the apartheid Israeli regime against Gaza's citizens will lead to an escalation of the conflict beyond the current regional circumstances.
