Tehran's likely retaliation for Israeli attack on Red Crescent hospital
Pars Today- Iranian officials, condemning the Zionist regime's attack on Tehran's field hospital and humanitarian aid storage place on Syria-Lebanon border, considered the crime as flagrant violation of international rights.
Pir Hossein Kulivand, Head of the Red Crescent Society of Iran, informed on Friday of the Zionist regime's attack on the 56-bed field hospital of this society on the Syria-Lebanon border which had no human casualty.
According to Pars Today, Kulivand condemned the terrorist attack and made it clear, "This Israeli measure is a clear violation of the international humanitarian rights which prohibits attacking medical and relief centers."
Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran's permanent envoy to the UN, also, in a letter to Pascal Christian, President of the UN Security Council, and Antonio Guterez, the UN Secretary General, stressed, "The intentional targeting of humanitarian and medical facilities is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian rights."
Iravani added, "These humanitarian facilities had been founded by the Iranian Red Crescent only to provide vital aid to the Lebanese civilians and victims of the ceaseless and savage aggression of the Israeli regime, and they acted as a way of vital rescue for those who are suffering from such crimes."
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmail Baqaei, too, described the repeated attacks of the Occupying regime on hospitals and medical-relief centers in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria as an evident sign of rebellion of the regime against all international rules and norms, and called for clear reaction of the international qualified bodies, including the International Red Cross Committee and condemnation of the Zionist regime's measures as war crimes.
Meanwhile, Kazem Gharibabadi, Secretary of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Human Rights Headquarters, releasing a message on cyberspace, wrote, "The Zionist regime's attack on the 56-bed field hospital of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria and burning the storage place of medicine, besides causing a serious hurdle for securing humanitarian services, is considered as a war crime."
Moreover, the Islamic Republic of Iran's embassy in Britain, too, wrote on X social network in reaction to the Israeli attack against the Iranian field hospital on Syria-Lebanon border, "For those who have kept silent towards these crimes, it matters to remember that a hospital is set up for looking after the injured."
In this regard, some Iranian analysts believe that Israel has made a tactical mistake with this move and there is the likelihood of Iran's retaliatory measure without media hype.
