Pars Today- The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, "The world bullies consider their own being equipped with the toughest and most disastrous types of arms permissible but do not consider defensive progress permissible for others."

Ayatollah Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, during the meeting of a group of the commanders and officials of the Iranian Armed Forces on the occasion of the New Iranian Year (1404), referring to an example of double treatment of the world bullies in considering the hardest and most disastrous types of arms permissible but not considering defensive progress permissible for others, said, "Certitude, faith, determination, courage and trust in God should exist in the Armed Forces in the maximum form as pompous armies lacking these characteristics throughout history have been defeated."

The Leader described armed forces as the fortress of country and the refuge of nation against any aggressive factor and, emphasizing continuous strengthening of maximum preparedness and hardware and software monitoring to fulfill national responsibility, stated, "The progress of the country has infuriated and bewildered the ill-wishers of Iran."

Imam Khamenei said that the very Islamic and independent existence of the Islamic system is the cause of enmities against it and added, "What the enemy senses is not the name of the Islamic Republic, but rather this determination that a country intends to be Muslim, independent and with identity, while not relying on others for its dignity, has made them angry."

He considered Iran's ever-increasing progress the cause of anger of ill-wishers and their media hype, and reiterated, "They present the things which are their wishes as news and reality, which we should plan and confront these insinuations and propaganda."

In the beginning of this meeting, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, pointing to the events of the past Iranian calendar year (1403) in Iran and the region, remembered global awakening in the issue of Palestine and historical steadfastness of the people of Gaza and Lebanon against the Zionist regime crimes as the honorable peaks of struggle against oppression and commemorated martyred combatants and commanders of resistance.

Major General Bagheri enumerated bolstering defense and deterrence capability, manufacturing advanced equipment and weapons, staging numerous and high-quality drills, full coordination among Armed Forces, helping progress and construction in the country, complete synergy between the field and diplomacy and cooperation with the government to materialize the theme of the year [investment for national production] among the programs and measures of the Iranian Armed Forces, and said, "The Armed Forces, with popular support, are in complete preparedness and will make the enemies hope-sick in attaining of sinister goals."
