Baqaei to US leaders: You can't claim negotiating while continuing pressure and sanction policy

Pars Today- Iran's foreign ministry spokesman, addressing American leaders, said that negotiation with the policy of sanction and pressure is not acceptable for Tehran.
Indirect negotiations between Iran and the US were hosted by the Omani foreign minister on Saturday in the country's capital of Muscat.
According to Pars Today, quoting from IRIB news agency, Esmail Baqaei, Spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry, on Monday criticized the American contradictory stances on imposing new sanctions during the talks with Iran and said, "Iran's aim of the talks is to remove the oppressive and illegal sanctions."
Noting that the place of the second round of indirect talks with the US is not known yet, Baqaei made it clear, "Iran believes that direct talks are not useful while the US insists on using the language of threat; hence, the talks in the next week will also be indirect."
Iran's diplomat stressed, "One of the reasons for indirect talks is that you cannot simultaneously claim to negotiate and continue the policy of pressure and sanction. Such an approach is not acceptable."
Grossi to travel to Tehran
Commenting on the upcoming trip of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, Baqaei said that a principled agreement has been concluded for this trip in the current week and added, "Iran has called for securing its rights by the IAEA and this trip will be held within the same framework and the normal procedure of Iran-IAEA relations."
Israel destructive player of region
Iran's foreign ministry spokesman then considered the presence of a very destructive player called the "Zionist regime" as the cause of chaos in the region and reiterated, "The unrest in the region is due to the genocide and carnage of Palestinians by the Zionist regime."
Araghchi to travel to Moscow
In response to a question on Iran's interaction with China and Russia about the nuclear issue, Baqaei stated, "Legally speaking, he Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), as a document connected with the [UN] Security Council, is a living agreement. Iran continues interaction and consultation with all JCPOA members within the framework of the JCPOA and resolution 2231."
This Iranian diplomat continued, "According to the planning, late this week, Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, will take a trip to Russia and this opportunity will be used talk about the latest developments pertaining to the Muscat negotiations."
Blasting European sanctions against Iran
Baqaei said in response to a question on the continuation of unconstructive approach of Europe towards Iran and the possibility of imposing fresh sanctions against the country, "The European sides, with an approach based on an exclusive interpretation of human rights, allow themselves to comment about the measures of others and sanction [them]."
