Pars Today – The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Space Agency said that 20 Iranian satellites are currently under construction.

According to Pars Today, citing the IRIB News Agency, "Hassan Salarieh," the head of the Iranian Space Agency, on Wednesday on the sidelines of the INOTEX 2025 exhibition in Tehran, emphasized the vital role of knowledge-based companies in achieving the country's major space objectives, and said: "At present, the construction and development of approximately 20 satellites is underway as part of a consortium of government and private companies."

Guaranteed purchase of domestic satellite images
Salarieh also announced a policy for the guaranteed purchase of satellite images produced by domestic satellites, stating: "This plan has been implemented with the active participation of private companies and, while supporting the space-based economy, helps enhance the country’s technical capabilities in the field of remote sensing."

Acceleration of knowledge-based companies' involvement in the space industry
The head of the Iranian Space Agency noted the growing trend of private sector involvement in the country's space industry in recent years, stating: "In the past three years, the participation of knowledge-based companies in space projects has gained momentum."
