Pars Today – The Iranian President, in a meeting with the President of Belarus, said: “Today, the United States and some European countries seek to expand unilateralism and impose their views on other nations, an approach that has been and remains unacceptable to both you and us.”

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, on the morning of Wednesday, at the start of his trip to Belarus, held a bilateral meeting with the country’s president. Expressing his satisfaction with the opportunity to visit Belarus, he added: “During this trip, we will discuss issues of mutual interest and also how to accelerate the implementation of our shared capacities through dialogue and understanding.”

Pezeshkian, noting that Iran and Belarus, in addition to their friendly bilateral relations, share close views on many regional and international issues and cooperate constructively in international forums, added: “The Eurasian Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and BRICS also provide frameworks and platforms to facilitate and expand constructive interactions between Iran and Belarus.”

President Pezeshkian emphasized that the extensive commonalities between the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Belarus provide a suitable basis for fully implementing bilateral agreements and for serious cooperation between the two countries in regional and international arenas. He stressed: “Today, the United States and some European countries seek to expand unilateralism and impose their views on other nations, an approach that has been and remains unacceptable to both you and us.”

Pezeshkian added: “Western countries, led by the United States, aim to dictate the path we follow according to their own views. However, Iran and Belarus believe that they are in no way inferior to countries attempting to influence others through sanctions, and that through serious cooperation with each other, they can overcome sanctions and related challenges.”
