Pars Today – Following the martyrdom of Rasmi Jihad Salem, a cameraman of Al-Alam TV in Gaza, the World Service of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) issued a statement stating: “The blood of martyred journalists will be a voice louder than any media.”

Following the martyrdom of Al-Alam cameraman Rasmi Jihad Salem in Gaza, IRIB World Service released a statement on Wednesday. According to Pars Today, the text of the statement is as follows:

In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

We received with deep sorrow the news of the martyrdom of Rasmi Jihad Salem, the courageous cameraman of Al-Alam network, who was martyred while returning from a mission to cover the truth and document crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza by the Zionist regime.

The martyrdom of this dedicated cameraman once again exposes the true face of a regime that not only hesitates at nothing in killing women and children but also silences the voice of truth and documentation of its crimes with bullets. This inhumane and criminal act adds another condemnation to the dark record of the Zionist regime.

According to credible international reports, at least 247 Palestinian journalists and media activists have been martyred during the Gaza war, and Rasmi Jihad Salem has now joined this honorable procession. This bitter statistic demonstrates that the Zionist regime systematically targets journalists and media activists to keep the truth hidden; yet history will testify that the blood of journalists speaks louder than any media.

Martyr Rasmi Jihad Salem, a cameraman and news coordinator, began his collaboration with Al-Alam network eight years ago. On September 2, 2025, he was martyred during a brutal attack by the Zionist regime on his vehicle while returning from reporting. From the beginning of the war, this dear martyr was always present alongside the network’s journalists in live coverage and field reporting, and he was recognized as a diligent and devoted figure.

We bow in reverence to the courage and steadfastness of Martyr Rasmi Jihad Salem; with his camera, he built a stronghold and, through his images, became a narrator of the truth. His memory and name will forever live on in the hearts of freedom-seekers and independent journalists around the world.

The IRIB World Service, while extending its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of this esteemed martyr, his colleagues at Al-Alam network, and the broader IRIB family, emphasizes that the blood of Gaza’s martyred journalists will never be wasted, and the truth they conveyed will remain immortal in the conscience of humanity.
