Pars Today – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic came to power through the blood of several hundred thousand honorable people and will not retreat in the face of those who seek to undermine it, stated: The Islamic Republic will not tolerate serving foreign interests, and the Iranian nation rejects anyone—whoever they may be—who acts as a foreign agent.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on Friday and on the anniversary of the historic and victorious uprising of the people of Qom on January 9, 1978, met with thousands of faithful and enthusiastic residents of the city. The Leader described the miscalculations of the corrupt Pahlavi regime and its main backer, the United States, as the reason for their defeat at the hands of the Iranian nation, and said:

“Today, the Iranian nation—thanks to the Islamic Republic system— is far stronger than it was then in terms of soft power, spiritual strength, and hard-ware capabilities. It will defeat an arrogant United States plagued by miscalculations. The powerful Islamic system, which came to power through the blood of several hundred thousand noble martyrs, will not back down in the face of thoughtless individuals and rioters who resort to destruction.”

According to Pars Today, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed: “There are individuals whose work is destruction. As seen in Tehran and some other places, a handful of saboteurs came and damaged buildings belonging to their own country, simply to please the President of the United States.”

Imam Khamenei added: “He may be pleased with himself, but if he can, he should go and run his own country, which is entangled in various crises. In the 12-day war, his hands were stained with the blood of more than a thousand Iranians, and he himself admitted, ‘I gave the order for the attack and commanded this war.’ Then the same person claims, ‘I support the Iranian people,’ and some careless and thoughtless individuals believe it and, in line with his wishes, set trash bins on fire and carry out such acts.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, referring to the President of the United States, stated:

“That man who speaks and passes judgment about the entire world with arrogance and conceit should know that tyrants and arrogant figures throughout history—such as Nimrod, Pharaoh, Reza Khan, and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi—were overthrown precisely when they were at the height of their pride, and he too will be overthrown.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution cited developments in Latin America as an example of the United States’ efforts to seize nations’ resources, adding: “They place a country under siege and shamelessly say, ‘We did this for the sake of oil.’ Just as before the Revolution, Iran’s oil and resources were in the hands of the arrogant powers, the Zionists, and their agents.”

Ayatollah Khamenei, recalling the Americans’ persistent hostility toward the Islamic Republic, added: “By God’s grace, the Islamic system has grown stronger day by day, and their plots to eliminate it have failed, such that today—contrary to their wishes—the Islamic Republic stands powerful, dignified, and respected in the world.”
