Larijani: US, Israeli involvement in Iran’s unrest is clear

Pars Today – The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, referring to the recent incidents and unrest in the country, stated that the hand of the United States and the Israeli regime in these events is obvious and apparent.

On Friday night, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, told Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen network that the United States and the Israeli regime are attempting to create conditions for foreign intervention by fueling the flames of civil unrest in Iran. According to Pars Today, Larijani added that the leaders of armed terrorist groups are seeking to ignite an internal conflict in the country.

The Supreme National Security Council of Iran, in a previous statement, noted that the United States and the Israeli regime have not abandoned their warmongering and hostility toward the Iranian people following the 12-day war. The statement said that the Israeli regime continues to oppress Iranians through hybrid warfare—sometimes changing tactics, but never abandoning its aggression toward the resilient Iranian nation. Recent incidents, the council added, were directed and orchestrated by Israel to create insecurity in Iran.

The statement, emphasizing that no nation or regime can justify creating insecurity for a people and that the presence of security and law enforcement forces is meant to maintain safety in the country, added: “The Iranian nation, through national solidarity, unity, and cohesion, will foil the enemy’s destructive tactics.”

It also stressed that recent remarks by Donald Trump demonstrate a joint plan between the United States and Israel aimed at destabilizing the lives of the Iranian people.
