ParsToday - The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations said: The US War Secretary's statements reveal the criminal mentality governing the conduct of hostilities.

According to Mehr News Agency, Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran's Ambassador and Representative to the United Nations, addressed the Secretary-General of the organization, stating: The US War Secretary's remarks expose the criminal mentality that governs the way the United States leaders manage conflicts.

He emphasized: In the current situation where the United States and the Israeli regime are daily conducting attacks against civilians and civilian sites in the Islamic Republic of Iran, nothing more clearly reveals the criminal mentality governing the US leaders' conduct of conflicts than the explicit announcement by the War Secretary of not granting quarter.

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated: The US War Secretary's remarks lead to the international responsibility of the United States, as well as the individual international criminal responsibility of that country's Defense Secretary.

Earlier, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, also reacted to the statements of "Pete Hagest," the US War Secretary, about Iran in a message, writing: " When the U.S. Secretary of War declares “no quarter”, he doesn't project strength. He conveys moral bankruptcy and ignorance about law of armed conflict. We advise him to review the Hague Convention and Rome Statute of the ICC, unless he aspires to join Netanyahu as war criminal.."
