Pars Today – The President of Iran said that Islamic countries should not allow enemies to sow division and ignite the flames of war.

According to Pars Today, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, held a phone conversation with Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, during which they exchanged views on regional and international developments following the attack by the United States and the Israeli regime on Iran.

In this conversation, Pezeshkian described Iran’s action in targeting U.S. bases and military facilities in the region as a natural response to the origin of the attacks against Iran, and emphasized: Muslim countries should not allow enemies to exploit this issue to create division and inflame the fire of war in the region.

The President, noting that Iran has never sought to acquire nuclear weapons and that numerous reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency have confirmed this fact, described the claim that Iran is seeking to obtain atomic weapons as a pretext to justify attacks against the Iranian nation and its territorial integrity. He said: “We seek the complete end of the war and the establishment of security and calm in the region, and we hope that with the help of brotherly and Muslim countries, we can save the region from the catastrophe that the enemies are pursuing.”

Anwar Ibrahim, in this phone conversation, referred to a resolution proposed by the Prime Minister and approved by the Malaysian Parliament condemning the attack by the United States and the Israeli regime on Iran, and emphasized his country’s principled position in opposing and condemning any violation of national sovereignty and territorial integrity, including that of Iran.
