U.S. A‑10 fighter targeted near Strait of Hormuz

According to Pars Today, on Friday evening an American A‑10 fighter jet was intercepted and engaged by the air defense systems of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, operating under Iran’s integrated air defense network. The aircraft was targeted over southern waters near the Strait of Hormuz and crashed into the waters of the Persian Gulf.
