Pars Today – The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament said that despite Iran’s initiatives, the United States failed to gain the country’s trust.
According to Pars Today, Mohammad‑Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, wrote in a post on social media:
“The United States has understood our logic and principles, and now it must decide whether it can gain our trust or not.”
Qalibaf added: “Before the negotiations, I emphasized that we have the goodwill and necessary determination, but based on the experience of the two previous wars, we have no trust in the other side.”
He stressed that Iran views diplomacy of strength as another means—alongside military struggle—for securing the nation’s rights, and that it will not stop striving to preserve the achievements of forty days of national defense by the Iranian people.
