Pars Today – Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, held a telephone conversation to discuss the latest regional developments, the Islamabad negotiations, and ceasefire‑related issues.
According to Pars Today, Masoud Pezeshkian, referring to ongoing U.S. violations and its bullying and unreasonable behavior during negotiations and throughout the ceasefire period, described the continuation of America’s provocative and illegal actions in the so‑called naval blockade of Iran as a clear breach of the ceasefire understanding and contrary to the UN Charter. He emphasized that such actions, along with the threatening rhetoric of American officials against Iran, only increase distrust regarding the seriousness of the United States and further reveal the reality that the U.S. is seeking to repeat previous patterns and betray diplomacy.
Pezeshkian, stressing the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to defend the nation comprehensively against any renewed adventurism by the United States or the Zionist regime, warned about the consequences and implications such a situation would have for regional and global security.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan, referring to his country’s efforts to end the conflict and establish peace in the region, briefed the President of Iran on his recent consultations with regional countries in this regard.
