Pars Today – A strategic affairs expert stated that, based on assessments and contacts with officials in Tehran, there is currently no plan to travel to Islamabad.
According to Pars Today, Mohammad Marandi, a strategic affairs expert, reacting to speculation about Iran–U.S. talks in Pakistan, said that one of Iran’s main demands for entering negotiations is a “public and official announcement by the United States of the lifting of the naval blockade.”
Marandi told Al Mayadeen that, based on assessments and contacts with Tehran officials, he has no plans to go to Islamabad at this time.
