Pars Today – The spokesperson of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) described the difference between Iran’s armed forces and those of other countries as having a spiritual identity and power.
According to Pars Today, General Hossein Mohebbi, the spokesperson of the IRGC, stated during a special news discussion on the Khabar network: “Guardianship in the IRGC is defined in the military, security, and religious thinking domains. Our combatant forces are warriors who know what they are fighting for and recognize their friends and enemies.”
Brigadier General Mohebbi emphasized that Iran’s armed forces have an Ashura culture and fight against the enemy until the very end—until martyrdom. “Martyrdom is a source of happiness for us, and in such a place, our forces do not retreat or weaken,” he added.
The IRGC spokesperson also stated: “In this unequal battle we face, the final winner is the Iranian armed forces because they fight with the Ashura culture and consider surrender humiliating; our model in modern wars is the Ashura model—standing firm in an unequal fight.”
General Mohebbi noted that Iran’s enemies are clearly a single country and regime with extensive equipment, and the U.S. has deployed its latest equipment for defense and offense.
He pointed out: “Our equipment and forces’ numbers are far less compared to theirs, but our spiritual power has enabled us to confront them.”
He emphasized: “Our fighters, equipped with combat, operational, defensive capabilities and religious faith, sacrifice their lives so that the people may live in security.”
