Iran advances decisively to semifinals
Pars Today – Iran’s national women’s volleyball team won its third preliminary match in the Central Asian Volleyball Championship, defeating strong Kazakhstan and advancing confidently to the semifinals.
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, the fourth and final day of the preliminary stage of the Central Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship (CAVA) was held today with three matches hosted in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Iran, which had already defeated Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in its first two matches, faced Kazakhstan in its third game at 14:45 today and won 3–0.
The Iranian players secured the victory with set scores of 25–22, 25–20, and 25–22, achieving three consecutive wins and topping Group B to advance to the semifinals and the final four of the tournament.
Iran’s women’s national volleyball team will face the runner-up of Group A in the semifinal stage on Thursday.
