Pars Today – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement that it had carried out a missile and drone operation in response to the recent U.S. aggression.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, the full text of the IRGC statement reads:
"In the name of God, the Crusher of the Tyrants.
'Fight the leaders of disbelief, for they have no regard for their oaths, so that they may desist.'"
Dear and honorable people of the Islamic Republic of Iran;
Your devoted sons in the IRGC Navy and Aerospace Force carried out a joint missile and drone operation between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. today, Sunday, 28 June. Launching ballistic missiles and drones, they struck and destroyed eight key installations of child killing U.S. military at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters at Salman Port in Bahrain, delivering what it called a decisive response to the recent U.S. attacks.
The aggressor enemy, whose very nature is to violate commitments and break agreements, attacked five coastal posts of the Islamic Republic in the early hours of this morning, using the IRGC Navy's action against a violating vessel as a pretext.
Under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, responsibility for regulating navigation through the Strait of Hormuz rests with the Islamic Republic. Henceforth, violating vessels will be dealt with more forcefully than in the past, and any aggression by the enemy, under whatever pretext—even if, as last night and tonight, the attacks are directed at minor targets—will receive a crushing response.
Let the enemy know that any violation of the ceasefire is contrary to the first clause of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and will result in the suspension of all processes.
Meanwhile, the IRGC Navy Command wrote on its social media page: "The United States' indiscriminate firing at Sirik does not solve the mystery of our dominance over the Strait of Hormuz, but our fire against violating vessels reminds the remaining ships of the clear route for passage."
The IRGC Navy Command also warned: "U.S. bases in the region are a separate matter, and they will experience hell in the coming days."
