Volleyball Nations League: Iran defeats Cuba

Pars Today – Iran's national volleyball team defeated Cuba 3-1 in the second week of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL).

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the second week of the Volleyball Nations League, which began on June 24 in Orléans (France), Gliwice (Poland), and Ljubljana (Slovenia), concluded on Sunday, June 28.

Iran faced Cuba on Sunday in its fourth and final match in Orléans, defeating the Caribbean side 3-1 to secure its second victory of the tournament and improve to nine points in the standings.

Iran lost the third set 25-20, but won the first, second, and fourth sets 25-23, 25-21, and 30-28, respectively. The victory also earned Iran 7.37 ranking points in the FIVB World Rankings.
