Pars Today – The Public Relations Office of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that Iranian attack drones had struck two major U.S. military bases in Kuwait.
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, the statement issued by the Iranian Army reads as follows:
“In response to the enemy’s repeated acts of aggression, the martyrdom of our dear compatriots, and attacks on Iran’s bridges, infrastructure, and civilian areas, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran carried out the sixteenth phase of Operation Thunderbolt several hours ago. During the operation, Iranian attack drones targeted the ammunition depot of the U.S. terrorist army at Camp Al-Adairi, as well as the Patriot radar system and the air-surveillance radar of this aggressor force at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.”
The statement added that Camp Al-Adairi is one of the U.S. military’s key installations in the region, located approximately 104 kilometers from Iran’s borders. It serves as a major center for logistical support and force reorganization for American troops, and any disruption to the base’s operations would have a significant impact on the U.S. military’s support activities across the region.
The statement added that Ali Al Salem Air Base is also one of the United States’ key military installations, serving as the main air-transport hub and gateway for the deployment of military forces to West Asia. It plays a pivotal role in the military and logistical strategy of the U.S. armed forces in the region.
The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while condemning the enemy’s attacks on bridges, infrastructure, and civilian facilities, as well as the martyring innocent people, emphasized: “God willing, under the leadership of our beloved Imam Khamenei and through the unity and solidarity of our devoted armed forces, resilient nation, and caring government, we will force the deceitful enemy into defeat.”
