Pres. Pezeshkian: Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen ties with Iran are valuable

Pars Today – During a meeting with Pakistan’s Interior Minister, the President of Iran, referring to the cultural ties between the two countries, said: “The love and interest shown by the Prime Minister and other Pakistani officials in solidarity, strengthening ties, and expanding relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are highly valuable to Tehran.”

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during his meeting with Pakistani Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, stressed the need to make use of the extensive existing potential to enhance bilateral cooperation. He said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to further deepen its relations with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest and create the necessary conditions for expanding joint cooperation.”

Referring to the importance of Iran-Pakistan relations within the framework of regional ties, Pezeshkian stressed the need to strengthen interaction between the two countries and utilize existing capacities to expand economic, trade, cultural, and security cooperation. He added: “The expansion of bilateral relations and deepening of cooperation can help serve the mutual interests of the two nations and strengthen stability and security in the region.”

During the meeting, Pakistani Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi also stressed the deep-rooted and longstanding ties between the two countries, stating: “Relations between Iran and Pakistan are strong and unbreakable, and Islamabad is seriously and resolutely pursuing the comprehensive expansion of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Naqvi also emphasized the importance of following up on and implementing the agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries, describing his visit to Tehran as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation mechanisms and accelerate the implementation of bilateral agreements.
