Iranian athlete advances to final of Shanghai World Climbing Challenger

Pars Today – An Iranian national climbing team member has advanced to the final of the Shanghai World Climbing Challenger.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Reza Alipour, an experienced member of Iran’s national climbing team, qualified for the final stage of the 2026 World Climbing Challenger Shanghai after finishing seventh in the preliminary round.

The 2026 World Climbing Challenger Shanghai is being held from September 4 to 6, 2026, in Shanghai, China, with participating climbers competing in the speed discipline.

Alipour put in a strong performance in the preliminary round, finishing seventh in the standings and securing his place in the final.

The final stage of the competition will be held today, Friday, September 4, with Alipour set to face his rivals in a bid to finish among the top performers of the event.
