Imam Khamenei stresses smart confrontation with enemy's psychological war

Pars Today- Leader of the Islamic Revolution called fear-mongering and causing withdrawal as the enemy's goal of psychological war in military arena, and said, "According to the holy Qur'an, non-tactical withdrawal in any field, either military arena or political, propaganda and economic fields, will bring about divine wrath."

Imam Khamenei, in a meeting with the personnel of the national headquarters of the congress of the martyrs of Kohgiluye and Boyer Ahmad province, pointing to the stratagem of ill-wishers of Iran to create psychological war and fear in a bid to force the Iranian nation to retreat in various arenas, said that recognition of our own abilities and refraining from aggrandizing the ill-wishers' ability is the way to encounter this stratagem and made it clear, "Martyrs were steadfast with self-sacrifice and struggle against this psychological war and thwarted it." According to Pars Today, Imam Khamenei added that this reality should be highlighted and preserved in marking the martyrs.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stating that one of the main pillars of psychological war against the dear Iranian nation and Islamic Iran is to aggrandize the abilities of enemy, continued, "Since the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, they used to make our nation understand and insinuated that they should fear the US, Britain and Zionists."

The Leader described Imam Khomeini's masterpiece to push fear out of the hearts of the nation and giving them self-belief and self-confidence, and added, "Our nation sensed that it can do great jobs with relying on its internal force and ability and that the enemy is not as strong as it pretends."

He then considered the sense of weakness and submission against the enemy's demands as the effects of aggrandizing its ability in the political arena, and reiterated, "The governments which, with small and great nations, are today submissive against the demands of the arrogant, if they rely on their nations and abilities and recognize the enemy's real ability apart from aggrandizing, will be able not to say 'YES' to their demands."

Imam Khamenei described the result of aggrandizing the enemy in the field of culture to feel passive, to be absorbed by the enemy's culture and to humiliate one's own culture, and said, "The result of such a passiveness is to accept the other side's lifestyle and even use foreign vocabulary and terminology."

Underlining the production of cultural and artistic works about martyrs and the Holy Defense, including books and films so that they create lasting impact on the lifestyle of the audience, particularly the youths, the Leader appreciated the personnel of holding this congress and said, "Martyrdom and self-sacrifice of this nation's youths is a great reserve and support for the country's progress which must be preserved and prevented from being distorted or forgotten."
