18th American "MQ9" drone downed over Yemen

Pars Today- Spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces announced that the country's air defense shot down the 18th American drone known as "MQ9".

According to Pars Today, quoting from IRNA, Yahya Saree, Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced in a statement on Wednesday, "In response to persistence of American aggression on Yemen which has led to martyrdom and injury of a number of Yemeni citizens, the air defense of the country succeeded to hit an invading American UAV (MQ9) engaged hostile mission in the airspace of al-Jawf Governorate of Yemen. 

Saree said that the operation was launched with a suitable homemade missile.

He added, "This is the third American drone downed by the Yemeni Armed Forces during the past 10 days. Thus, since the start of the Promised Victory and sacred jihad of the Yemeni Army for supporting Gaza, 18 American drones have been shot down."

The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman reiterated, "We will continue our operation to support Gaza and conduct defense missions against any aggression on Yemen. We are completely ready to responsibly counter any attempt to harm the sovereignty, security and stability of our country; and we will not stop our operation till the end of aggressions of the Zionist regime against Gaza."

Meanwhile, American fighter jets bombed al-Hudaydah Governorate on Wednesday.

6 citizens were martyred during the airstrike of American warplanes on Moqel area of al-Hudaydah Governorate, west of Yemen. According to the Yemeni health ministry, 3 of these martyrs were children and 2 others were women.

This crime, also, caused injury of 16 other citizens. Yet, it is estimated that the number of martyrs and injured will increase because of continuation of debris removal.
