American analyst: Forcing Yemenis to stop attacks is impossible
Pars Today- An Arab media, referring to the US attacks on Yemen, informed of Washington's failure to reach its goals and wrote that Ansarullah Movement has adopted the policy of reciprocity.
According to Pars Today, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed wrote in a report titled, "One month after American attacks on Yemen, the strategy of deterrence has not materialized", "US President, Donald Trump, started attacking Yemen on March 15 and bombed the regions controlled by Ansarullah in the north and west of the country."
Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported, "While the United States claims to have targeted only Ansarullah, these attacks have killed tens of women and children, destroyed houses and cut power in some regions."
According to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, Americans speak of materializing their objectives in their attacks. New York Times, quoting from Pentagon officials, announced on April 4, 2025 that the US attack on Yemen may take 6 months and its costs may surpass $1 billion. This may force Pentagon to demand for more budget from the Congress.
NYT added, "Ansarullah has adopted the policy of reciprocity and, as the US attacks are escalated, they [Yemenis] will also intensify their attacks."
Elizabeth Dent, analyst of Washington Studies Center, acknowledged in late March, "Forcing Ansarullah of Yemen to stop its attacks will almost be impossible, because they have stood against Western powers for two decades. If the US increases pressure, Yemenis will attack Saudi Arabia and will benefit from the US strategic weakness. Thus, Washington has to prove its ability to support Saudis as much as it is supporting Israel."
According to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, the report released on CNN quoting from the US defense authorities, stresses that the country's attacks have destroyed some positions but they had no effect on Ansarullah's capability to hit the ships in the Red Sea and downing of American drones.
