Pars Today – In a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Hossein Mousavi, emphasized Iran’s support for the Qatari nation.
According to Pars Today, quoting IRIB News Agency, following the terrorist aggression of the Zionist regime against Qatar, Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, spoke on Thursday via telephone with Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs. During the call, he extended congratulations on the occasion of the blessed birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and described the Zionist regime’s attack on Qatar as a criminal act. Major General Mousavi emphasized that Iranian officials and political authorities strongly condemn this act.
Referring to the phone conversation between Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Emir of Qatar, he emphasized that the Iranian Armed Forces Headquarters has also officially condemned this criminal act.
Major General Mousavi added that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces will never hesitate to support their Qatari brothers, as the relationship between the two countries and peoples has always been founded on brotherhood. He stressed that Iran will not leave the people of Qatar alone in the face of enemies, particularly the criminal Zionist regime, which has been and continues to be the main source of tension and instability in the region.
The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces emphasized that the unwavering support of the West, particularly the United States, for the occupation, repression, and killing of innocent Palestinian people by the Zionist regime, as well as its aggression against other countries in the region—which has intensified in recent years—is the main factor emboldening and encouraging the regime’s acts of aggression.
He added that the attack on Qatar would not have occurred without coordination and the green light from the United States, and the whole world knows well that without direct and indirect support from the West, the continued existence of this criminal regime would not be possible.
Major General Mousavi also emphasized, in response to the Qatari side’s proposal for further consultations between the two countries, that the Iranian Armed Forces are ready to cooperate at any level. He stated that the government, people, and armed forces of Qatar should know that the Islamic Republic of Iran and its armed forces will stand by them to the very end.
Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs of Qatar, in the same conversation, described the Israeli regime’s actions against Qatar as an act of terrorism and expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by the Iranian government and people, particularly noting the phone call from the President of Iran to the Emir of Qatar.
Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani described the Israeli regime’s attack as a treacherous stab against Qatar, noting that it occurred while meetings and sessions aimed at establishing peace, coordinated and requested by all parties, were underway.
The Qatari Deputy Prime Minister added that the Israeli regime follows no rules, principles, or norms, and that this incident represented a violation of all red lines and a breach of all international and diplomatic standards.
He emphasized that they hope to hold meetings in the near future to examine these issues and jointly develop practical solutions to respond to such actions.
