Pars Today – A senior official of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement emphasized that Sana’a’s decision to ban maritime traffic linked to the Israeli regime is not a temporary or tactical move, but part of a long-term strategy in support of regional nations and to increase pressure on Israel and its allies.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Mohammad al-Farah, a member of the political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, said in a post on X that the country’s decision to prohibit shipping linked to the Israeli regime in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait reflects Yemen’s commitment to supporting oppressed peoples, confronting U.S. domination and Israeli aggression, and affirming Yemen’s sovereignty over the strategic Bab al-Mandab region.

Al-Farah added that the decision shows Yemen will not take a passive stance in the face of wars, blockades, and pressures affecting the people of Yemen and other nations in the region, stressing that maritime security should not be monopolized by the United States, the Israeli regime, or their allies, but should be tied to respect for nations’ rights and the end of war and blockade.

He added that the continuation of blockade policies, military attacks, starvation of civilians, and violent actions in Yemen, Gaza, and Lebanon cannot go unanswered. He said measures must be taken to increase the cost of such policies and create new equations in the region.

The Ansarullah political bureau member also described the decision as a response to the escalation of Israeli actions in Lebanon and Palestine, saying the Israeli regime is attempting to expand the scope of its operations and attacks.

Mohammad al-Farah stressed that Yemen’s move sends a clear message that any escalation against the peoples of the region will not remain confined to a single geography, and that resistance forces now possess tools and capabilities that can expose the consequences of Israeli actions across multiple fronts and levels.

These remarks came after Yahya Saree announced on Monday a missile strike on Tel Aviv, stating that maritime navigation for the Israeli regime in the Red Sea is now completely prohibited.
