Iran–U.S. agreement reflects Netanyahu’s humiliating defeat
Pars Today – Analysts in Israel have described the agreement between Iran and the United States as a disastrous setback for Tel Aviv.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the announcement of an agreement between Iran and the United States to end the war has been met with strong anger among Israelis, who are now awaiting the release of the full text of the agreement, scheduled to be signed on Friday.
Israeli media had previously reported that officials in the Israeli regime were concerned that any agreement between Washington and Tehran that failed to address Israel’s demands regarding Lebanon could limit Tel Aviv’s freedom of action on that front.
Yossi Friter, an Israeli analyst, stated that Benjamin Netanyahu had admitted he was unaware of the details of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran and was now presiding over a catastrophic strategic defeat for Israel.
“Ben Caspit,” another Israeli analyst, wrote that Netanyahu is the architect of defeat and claims that he saved Israel from destruction at Iran’s hands — describing this as one of his many lies.
“Barak Seri” also wrote in this regard that Netanyahu suffered the greatest humiliation at the hands of Donald Trump. Israeli officials, he added, say that the Washington–Tehran agreement is unfavorable for Tel Aviv.
“Yossi Yehoshua,” a prominent Israeli military analyst, compared the current situation with the 2006 Lebanon War, saying that Israeli public opinion is now facing an unprecedented experience of frustration and defeat, the scale of which is far deeper than previous crises faced by the Israeli regime.
