A bomb explosion has struck a district in the Southwestern Yemeni Province of Ta'izz, leaving five people martyred and 10 others wounded.

According to Press TV, the casualties came after a bomber set off his explosives in a market in the neighborhood of Shar’ab al-Rawnah on Thursday.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the incident, but al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and Daesh Takfiri terrorist groups have occasionally carried out acts of terror in the region.

Militant groups have taken advantage of the chaos and breakdown of security in Yemen to tighten their grip on the southern parts of the Arab country.

This is while Saudi Arabia has been incessantly pounding Yemen since March 2015 with the purpose of reinstalling the country’s former government and crushing the Ansarullah movement.

More than 11,400 Yemenis, including women and children, have been martyred in the Saudi military aggression, according to a latest tally by a Yemeni monitoring group.
