Oscar winner: Our Jewishness hijacked by Israel

Pars Today – French movie "Anatomy of a Fall" cast attended the Oscars 2024 red carpet, wearing Palestinian flag pins on their chests as winners of the Best Original Screenplay Award.

Also, at the 96th Academy Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jonathan Glazer, Director of "The Zone of Interest" as the winner of the Best International Film, said their Jewishness is being hijacked by Israel.

Additionally, some Hollywood stars like Billy Eilish, Ava DuVernay, Mark Ruffalo, and Rami Youssef attended the Oscars red carpet by wearing the "Ceasefire for Gaza" symbol on their chests.

In an interview, Rami Youssef, emphasized the need to stop the genocide of children in Gaza and said we’re calling for immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza. We’re calling for peace and lasting justice for the people of Palestine, adding, dialogue can only happen when Israeli bombings stop. Just a day before the Oscars ceremony, supporters of Palestine protested outside the venue and chanted slogans for peace in Gaza.
