US at war with TikTok due to the horror of increase of exposure of Israeli nature
Pars Today- With the upsurge of protests rallies in different American cities in support for Palestine, 25 Republican senators issued a letter calling for confrontation with TikTok's content in favour of Hamas.
Last week, the US House of Representatives banned TikTok application with over 170 users throughout the country.
According to the bill, which has to get the ratification of the Senate besides President Joe Biden's signature, the owner of TikTok, ByteDance company, should sell its properties within 6 months.
Although the Republican supporters of the bill have always stressed the Chinese identity of TikTok and "security concerns" over the issue, Washington Post wrote that the popularity of its content in support for Palestine has made the advocates of Israel in Washington to dub the application as a propaganda apparatus in a bid to curb it. This becomes more noteworthy when one knows that the US government, as the main backer of the Zionist regime's war in Gaza, has failed to sell the narrative of the White House and Tel Aviv of war to the American youths.
Thus, it should be said that Tel Aviv and the White House have been defeated in the war o narrations.
Jeff Moriss J., investor and former media manager in the US, referring to the failure of Israel in the war of narrations and the impact of TikTok on the users of generation Z in America (those born during the late 1990s and early 2000s), "Most of the American youths are users of TikTok and since the start of the Israeli war in Gaza, the videos with "#stand with Palestine have had over 2.9 billion views; whereas the videos with hashtags in support for Israel got nearly 200 million views."
The data on TikTok shows that videos with "#free Palestine" were seen in the US more than 770 million times within two months after the war in Gaza. Perhaps, this issue has caused the groups and lobbyists backing the Zionist regime in the US to point an accusing finger at TikTok for diversion of American young generation from the White House policies towards Gaza war.
Washington Post wrote that Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of so-called Anti-Defamation League, in an exposed phone call, had pointed to the TikTok problem in the United States and dubbed it as the cause of failure of the US government (and of course Israel) in the war of narrations on Gaza.
Norsin Ataoglu, Head of the International Relations of Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, said to Anatoly news agency, "The US government and lobbies supporting Israel consider TikTok guilty due to increase of anti-Israel sentiments among American youths. Their goal is to safeguard Israel's interests. The American government and lawmakers are seeking to impose their own narrative through banning such platforms. But such moves will not change the fact that Israel is the invader since the information sources are not restricted to classical ones, and that the youths are subjected to different comments and contents via social media. They can clearly see the reality and don't not believe lies anymore."
